The clearest sign yet that AI has become mainstream is the rising backlash, exemplified by a new term: “workslop.” Workslop (anticipate its addition to dictionaries soon) describes a surge of low-quality, clearly not human-edited AI output in the workplace. Strong trends inevitably create riptides. It is only a matter of time. Expect some to call for banning AI from campuses.
