Is the convergence between pedagogy, talent development for teachers, and the age of students. Some pedagogies–Montessori comes to mind–have built-in higher ratios of students to teachers (more efficiency). Some teachers are capable of handling larger numbers of students (more productivity). And students of different ages need different types of classroom environments (more differentiation).
The school of the future will find a sweet spot where pedagogy, teacher capability and student age are optimal. It’s a business model whose time has come.
